Every school year, the Traveller School Board will be giving out one copy of the Elementary Text Book to every Traveller Elementary student. All they have to do is log onto our website, complete the form with their email address, and wait for us to email them their access code. The Elementary Text Book includes all information that a Traveller student would need in order to complete his or her schooling. It has chapters on everything from "Alphabet" and "Numbers" to "Redemption-Resurrection". In fact, it even has a link to the Traveller's Dictionary for each student to print off and use in order to better their reading skills. "I'm definitely excited," said one Grade 4 student who hopes to be able to get his book download soon. "My mom and dad will finally be able to send me the last two books I wanted!" [END ARTICLE] Traveller School Board often publishes articles on its website that gives students advice on how they can stay safe while travelling. These articles are usually written by students. Traveller School Board also publishes articles from its website that informs parents how to help their children succeed in school. These articles are mostly written by parents. Traveller School Board has been publishing a newsletter for students since 1983. The newsletter was first called the "Traveller Profile". In 1986 it became the "Traveller Profile and Courier" and finally came to be known as the "Traveller Courier" in 1991. There were many changes throughout these years: the name, the format and even the number of issues per year. To date, there have been 174 issues of this publication and each issue is 32 pages long with a $3 cost per copy. In the past, the Traveller Courier was a newsletter for students to learn about their school and it included articles, stories, recipes and other fun facts. However, in the past few years, a lot of changes have been made to make this publication more interesting to its audience. In 2010, the Traveller Courier began printing an article from one student every issue. It became mandatory that every student in grade 7 have at least one article published in their school's newsletter which also makes it very competitive for students in grades 8-12. In 2012, each edition of the Traveller Courier published its first ever full colour magazine cover. In 2013, the Traveller Courier was nominated for a Saskatchewan Newspaper Award recognizing it for its outstanding publication. In 2015, the Traveller Courier received its first ever Dearly Departed Award from the Saskatoon Funeral Home. This award recognized it for being a newspaper that has had lots of fun articles published about people dying and funeral services.
